developments in theta:
applying what we learn
We all know that each person’s belief system is unique and that Creator will guide us by providing the best teachings and beliefs for ourselves and our clients as we witness healings. Vianna discovered something interesting about how the subconscious receives downloads and teachings that we thought you should be aware of.
Certain types of teachings prompt the subconscious to create opportunities to apply the new knowledge so we can learn it or know we really have learned it. What this means is that the subconscious may create situations in our lives to experience this new information.
Once again I have to admit that I learned this first hand (aka the hard way). So we’re giving you some guidelines to help you avoid unwanted experiences.
to define or not to define We’ve found that sometimes providing someone with Creator’s definition of something that is outside of their experience can actually draw the experience to them. Here are a few examples.
Vianna commanded that she be taught how to stand up for herself. She then spent the next six months standing up for herself over and over. She did a great job of it. Everything worked out fine. But situations kept arising that required her to stand up for herself over and over and over. Finally tired of this, she asked Creator why this kept happening. She was told that, since she wanted to learn to stand up for herself, she was creating situations to demonstrate to herself that she had learned to, so she would know she could do it whenever she needed to now. Vianna asked what she needed to do to be finished with this demonstration of her new skills. She was told to teach herself that she knows how to stand up for herself now. And that she does. She also downloaded Creator’s understanding (rather than definition) of standing up for herself. And she made sure she no longer needed to create opportunities to apply this knowledge. This changed her experience.
I had a similar experience. I downloaded Creator’s definition of “patience”. I then spent the next nine months attracting situations that required me to demonstrate patience. In fact, just about every time I pulled a card from the inspirational decks I like to play with, the card was or advised “patience”. I was getting tired of having to prove how patient I can be. So when Vianna was reviewing some of the material I put together for Theta practitioners, she figured out that my experience was similar to hers. Since I had a written record of the beliefs I was working with – which I was reviewing with Vianna prior to sharing them with Theta people – we began to explore just which beliefs triggered this subconscious instruction to attract situations to apply the new knowledge.
I had patience. I just needed to prove it over and over again. So we taught me: “I have Creator’s understanding of patience.” We also taught me, “I know I have patience, without having to create situations to prove it.” And, “I do have patience.” This shifted things.
There is no list of definitions that should always be avoided. Every person is unique. Here are a couple of guidelines.
Avoid teaching someone something “negative” that is outside a person’s experience. For example, it’s probably not a good idea to teach a child Creator’s definition of “violence” or “abuse” or “self-loathing”. Unless, of course, this child is living in violence and mistaking it for love, or being abused and not recognizing that it is not the way someone should be treated, or they hate themselves and think it’s normal. A perfectly happy nine year-old would not benefit from these definitions.
Avoid downloading Creator’s definition of diseases and health issues that you or a client do not have. While these can be useful when someone is diagnosed with something, it can create the physical experience if the person is healthy. Nothing to be afraid of – just something to be aware of. (Some alternative ways to gain greater understanding of diseases are discussed below in the paragraph Understanding Diseases.) clearing things up In many cases the most effective way to gain understanding of something new is to download Creator’s understanding. It may also be useful to download “I do” / “I am” beliefs. For example, though it might seem that downloading Creator’s definition of “unconditional love in a relationship” sounds like a good idea, it can create a relationship where you are constantly given opportunities to demonstrate you can love the other person unconditionally – no matter what! This can be challenging. Instead, you could download Creator’s understanding of unconditional love in a relationship. You can also ask Creator to teach you, “I know how to love unconditionally in a relationship now, without having to create situations to prove it”. MUCH more fun!
Of course, if you check with Creator, you’ll have the best possible guidance on how to approach an issue and create what you or your client desires.
a final thought There’s no need to panic if you have downloaded these types of beliefs for yourselves and others. Everything that results is just an experience. My friend Ken said something to me after I broke my ankle last Fall that really made that clear for me: “You believe an injury is a bad thing. It’s not. It’s just an experience.” He’s right. It’s our judgment of our experience that makes it “good” or “bad”. Of course, you can “Cancel, cancel cancel!”
AND, you can avoid certain experiences – by choice, rather than because of fear.
Food for Thought: Understanding Disease Here are some useful downloads – ones that avoid creating opportunities to experience the condition – for practitioners who are interested in understanding more about working with diseases. I’ll use cancer as an example. You can substitute any disease.
* I understand cancer. * It’s easy for me to work with people who have cancer now. * I have no fear of cancer. * I can work with people who have cancer without judging them. * Cancer is more powerful than God/Creator. (NO) * Cancer is incurable. (NO) * I know how to work with a client who has cancer without fear now. * Cancer can be healed instantly now. * I know how to witness an instant healing of cancer in a client now.

Reminders: Tips for Core Belief Testing You can save yourself a lot of time and frustration if you remember a few key things when testing core beliefs.
Dual beliefs exist. People can hold dual beliefs. They can believe they are rich and poor, good and bad, love someone and hate them. If you find two opposite beliefs, transform the negative one.
Erroneous belief systems keep a person sick. Whether negative or positive, people may have erroneous beliefs that keep them sick. A negative belief might be “I have to suffer to be close to God”. A positive one could be “People take care of me when I am sick”. In either case, the belief will keep them sick.
Programs recreate. If people say, do, and think the same things, programs you have pulled for them will recreate. A person can reinstall any belief. We’ve found that clients that tape sessions and go back over them again and again reinstall beliefs. Keeping lists of old beliefs and reviewing them can also reinstall programs. Behaviors need to change to support new belief systems.
A belief can be resolved on any level. While we always command a belief be resolved on the History level, we may witness it being resolved on another level as well. If Creator tells you it needs to be resolved on a level other than History, watch it resolve.
Genetic level changes can affect a person’s entire genetic line. The people born before and after them are affected. Some may even stop by to say “Thanks!”
Negative words are often not understood by the unconscious mind. Stay away from "not" – as in: "don’t", "isn’t", "can’t". It took most people two whole years to learn “No!” So use "No", as in: “Fear keeps me safe – No.”
Conditions serve people. No matter how illogical it may seem to the rational mind, conditions of illness often serve people. You can check by muscle testing. For example, “The cancer is serving me.” Then DIG for how it serves them. When you clear the reasons it serves them, the belief that it does usually goes away on its own.
Get help. Often it is hard to identify and pull the deepest programs and most core beliefs on yourself. Develop a network of healers you can trade with, or make an appointment with a healer you respect to be sure your own work gets done on a regular basis.

Groundwork: Power This month’s foundational issue is Power. Our ability to own our power in relationships and situations determines the quality of our experience. Yet most people don’t even know what their power is. Working with clients you will find many definitions of power. If you test the belief, “I know what my power is”, most people will test, “Yes”. And they do. They have their definition of power. Some believe, “Anger is my power.” Others, “Money is my power.” Some people believe, “Power equals force.” And so on. When you test, “I have Creator’s definition of power,” many people do not have it. Or they do, but their definition is not the same as Creator’s. What is power? When you download Creator’s definition of “power” and what you will find is: “Love is my power.” There’s no need to give them the belief, “Love is my power.” Just download Creator’s definition. Of course, they have to have Creator’s definition of “love” to accept that. Owning Power Once they know what their power is from Creator’s perspective, can they own it? There are many reasons people refuse to own their power. People routinely trade their power for other things. Some trade their power for love. Others trade it for money. Others may trade it for safety or security. You may have to teach them how to own their power and still be loved or wealthy or safe. Some people never had permission to own their power. They have no experience of it because it was never allowed. They need to be given that permission. And some people are afraid of it. Using Power Many people are afraid to use their power because they are afraid they will hurt others with it. They may have a past life memory of harming others at times of great power. It may be something they experienced personally, or it may be genetic, or it may come from the Akashic Records – which everyone has access to. After all, there are no secrets in God’s Universe. Where it comes from is irrelevant. What’s important is that it may block their ability to use their power here and now. One thing that helps clear up misunderstandings from the past is Creator’s perspective on what really happened. It doesn't matter what took place, their perspective created the belief that using their power will result in harming others. With a different perspective, that belief might shift. In any case, dig. Find the bottom belief preventing them from being powerful here and now and clear it. And watch them get shiny! Subscribe to the Theta Times.
